tongue of the hours knows capital

1. One thing I’m observing—especially in boston—is there seems to be less money for nonprofits—cuts here and cuts there—and too much money in venture capital (recent article in Boston globe). Both camps are frustrated. I propose that venture capital relax its grip on getting a “profit” and invest some of the “real” money in “community profit.” It might just reap some real profit, although that might take longer than venture caps want to wait.

2. I watched “the hours” a few nights ago with my housemates. What a whacked movie! Here are some notes:
--The history of a moment
--“Why is everything wrong?”
--It’s going to be OK. Of course it is.
--“the doctors”
--we need space to break.
--“what were you thinking?”
--there are times you don’t belong and you want to kill yourself.
--“when you have no choice”
--to look life in the face and know it for what it is. And then to put it away.
--Little kids see and hear everything!

3. We were having a bbq…and I think we had a little too much to drink. Tongue anyone?
