the Metro's shadow of communication&meditatioN

1. When I don’t sit for a few minutes and meditate in the morning, I can feel “the rushing” enter my mind more deeply during the day. I don’t like that feeling.

2. lesson of the week: all the information in the world doesn’t do anything if you can’t communicate it to another person so they can grasp it.

3. Metro newspaper; march30; interesting tid bits: “The city of Gronzy, Russia, suffering from a male population shortage due to 10 years of war, is hampered with 10 million single women. Their brilliant solution? They legalized polygamy and allow men up to four wives. Sure, this might fix their population shortage, but it will no doubt turn many a single woman into a single mother…oh yeah, babe, we’ve come a long way.” The next relationship, “the one that will inevitably end in one of two ways: with a good breakup or a bad one.” She has a pretty negative view on relationships!

4. A picture of shadows...from my recent trip to london, and then Zimbabwe...makes me think of "need to make a phone call?" Jennifer is holding the phone..I met her randomly in the subway station..she was headed to Ghana--cool. We had a good time exploring London. I wrote a reflection paper about my experiences in Africa. If you want a copy..email me.

Africa's hypnotism...

1. I'm back from Zimbabwe. Here is a picture a stuff I brought back: 2 bottles south african wine, an mbira, malachite rings, a key chain, some mints, some Zim currency, music, Kufunda cookbook, and my ticket stubs--to remind me of the wonderful amount of time I sat on a plane and in airports! not pictured: a stone carved giraffe, biltong (like jerky)--because I couldn't get it through customs
;(

2. I often wonder if Daisy and Violet are secretly acting to control their human dwellers...like cats in the comic strip Sylvia do..one example.
