The mango bounced into lightpost rings in your eaR

1. another personal quirk is banging my knuckles on handrails and light posts--that are made out of metal...to see if they have a ring tone to them..what is the quality of ring?..I want to record these ringings.

2. lesson of last night: mango ruibos tea grows little bugs--even if it's closed!...damn I wish I had gotten to use some before the bugs!

3. ..the stripes, the spring, the bounce..hmmm..I wonder who that could be;)(

horses Sandwich has low morale

1. I saw two horses today on my walk from chinatown YMCA to my homebase...they looked very calm amid the hustle, bustle, and loud sirens.

2. My sandwiches now include a little horseradish sauce...yummy, just the kick I need..with cranberry mustard=scrumptious!

3. I can spew poetic words out of my mouth, nose, ears and toes, but how does that help people?

4. Let me tell you straight up...my job has built in health(with all the walking I do), my morale is low;()getting a new initiative off the ground--more than 5 feet in the air is REALLy hard.

5. Yum..orange peels and cigarettes...two opposite ends of the health spectrum!

pepsi's Health

I was reading a booklet called “everyday smart moves” the Welcome page is by Julie, who is the director of PepsiCo Health and wellness. I don’t associate pepsi with health and wellness…pepsi is full of sugar and “other” things. But I do agree with their SMART idea: Start with a healthy breakfast, Move more, Add more fruits, veggies and whole grains, Remember to hydrate, Try lower calories of fat…PepsiCo has more than 100 products…why can’t it just be 1000…or 10000? Pepsi is EVERYWHERE!

Mt. Washington's yummy Food

sun magazine discussion and free music at the end of this post...

1. I was with a hiking group this weekend, going up up up to the summit of Mt. Washington--aka. the worst weather in AMerica. It seemed really sunny and calm with a light breeze...not anything of bad weather. I just wanted to say it was awesome to meet new people and see people I already know—even if I forgot your names!(amy..) During breakfast Sunday I felt that another of my guards went down, and I felt really relaxed—The people on the hike feel like my extended family. It feels really cool! I’m sending appreciation beams to each of you.

2. I closed my eyes and noticed the overlay of sounds: constant buzz of bugs, water down at the creek, and random birds calling to each other. I sat on a table Sunday night near Davis square (back in civilization) and compared sounds: cars, busses, music from cars, horns, dogs, and people talking…

3. As usual, the food was yummy, even at the random restaurant that is still open at 10pm..i guess 13 hours of hiking can make anything taste good…no it’s the cheese that makes it taste good!

4. Here is a poem I didn’t get a chance to read.I thought it matched the weekend’s theme of questions, and seeing big bright star field at night!

"Stars"

In places where air still offers clarity,
stars sing a siren song from space
in the bright night.

Lying on soft earth,
carried into sky by longing,
humans respond to stars
with questions. Why is the Universe
so vast? Why are we sp small?

Call and response through the night.

My whole life I have sent
these questions into space. And
listened for response.

Then sky wakens and star song fades.
Humans forget the mystery and get on with living.
But the stars, the stars
keep calling. No response.

Why is it that we call to
stars with science and insignificance?

On the next bright night,
find the clear air and ask again.
Humans, ask again. Who are we?
What is our place in mystery?

Perhaps you will hear what I
have heard, a song of inner
radiance.

For the stars
the stars are calling

saying we must
turn to one another
turn to one another and see
finally see
the stars everywhere.

9/11 tribute; mark Fogel

Come to my party,
We’re exchanging gifts.
Many friends present.
Your physical box has been closed
Open your spirit box
What do you see?
Move with the peacefulness of the clouds
The downward brook rushing
With quick wit of the cheetah’s sprint
The over and over cycle of the sun and moon
And to know that your family, your friends
Will remember your face, your smile, your embrace
Whenever the senses touch these things
You are loved, you are missed, be free
Close your eyes, feel the love.

Cat's 4 colors play tennis

1. I watched the last match of andre agassi’s career—that he lost against Benjamin Becker. He gave a great speech after the match…using words loyalty, inspiration, and generosity…sweet. I love tennis!…announcer said he had been playing for 21 years, since I was 8!…probably about when I started playing more seriously.

2. My pen is 4 colors—red, blue, green, black. A few people have said “wow! A pen from the 80s. well, whatever, I just love having more colors to choose from…more colors=more inspiration.

3. The paper towel dispenser is motion activated. Are you inspiration activated?

4. Have you ever noticed how some cats have really big eyes, even in light? The better to scratch you with I guess..

Finland's 2cents for Success

1. I’m doing a (free online) personal development program called “year to success” I’m on day 145: Success is Health. Here is a quote from the lesson that caught my attention. "Health is not just the absence of disease or illness, it is the presence of vitality. It is the lifelong process of prevention and commitment to wellness." It got me thinking about my right foot's arch that has been bothering me lately. I think it's because I wear shoes that don't have high arches. If anyone has suggestions for work-type shoes with high arches, please let me know. I just purchased a few pairs of Aldo shoes, but there may be something better. This lesson also makes me wonder about all the other people who live willingly with some sort of pain. It doesn't have to be this way...but it's weird to think about it. Bo's (the creator) tip of the day was to look at health effects of cow's milk vs. soy milk...hmmm..I drike 1-3 glasses of 1% every day..I do add some chocolate soy milk...yummy www.yeartosuccess.com

2. I was walking down the street near Government center and heard the jingling of change in a guy's cup. He asked me for money, and when I said no, I don't have a lot, I work at the YMCA, he said "I know they don't pay well."...I thought about monetary pay vs. personal/spiritual growth payment. He also said "you only live once." I'm totally into that..which is why I'm trying to do different/weird/unique things--like yoga retreats and zimbabwe--and peace corps.

3. I saw a Finlandia record in GoodWill...I thought that was cool! The Finland connection is everywhere!
